The Chiefs make four roster adjustments ahead of Sunday’s game versus the Chargers

On Saturday, Kansas City’s Chiefs announced a quartet of roster moves in anticipation of their Week 15 clash with the Los Angeles Chargers at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. The club placed left tackle Wanya Morris on Reserve/Injured, promoted guard C.J. Hanson from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, and elevated two practice-squad players for the game: tackle Chu Godrick and defensive lineman Zacch Pickens.
During last Sunday’s 20-10 defeat to the Texans, Morris started at left tackle in place of injured Josh Simmons and suffered a knee injury that looked severe. Early expectations had signaled the end of his season, and that prognosis appears to have come true.
Hanson, in his second year, spent the entirety of last season on the 53-man roster but was active for only the season finale against the Broncos, a 38-0 loss. This season he has spent time on the practice squad and has been elevated for three games, appearing in one of them.
Godrick and Pickens are being elevated for the first time this season. As elevated players, they will automatically revert to the practice squad on Monday.
Discussion is heating up around the moves...
