SAR responded to a report of a truck down in a ravine off the road in West Mountain’s Isreal Canyon. As they searched for tracks from victims, it was discovered that the truck had slid off the road earlier and had not yet been able to retrieve it.

An abandoned wheelchair tipped over near Geneva Road on the Provo River bank prompted a search for someone who may have fallen in. Search and Rescue joined Provo Police and Fire and searched the river all the way to the lake.
An object was found a few feet under water that was suspected of being a body, and it was, but the body of a goat. The wheelchair serial number was traced and had been stolen. The thief who abandoned the wheelchair was later located.

As the Provo River call wound down, SAR was called to Hope Campground to assist ATV riders stuck in the snow. Within half an hour, the riders got themselves out of trouble and the call was canceled.

A pregnant woman near her due date, her parents and her young child were floating the Provo River when their raft began taking on water. They were able to get out of the river and encountered large snow banks while making their way down canyon toward Vivian Park. Search and Rescue reached her in a side by side with tracks and she was transported to a hospital and treated for hypothermia.

A teenager with medical trouble was spotted high in the Timp foothills by a hiking firefighter. SAR responded and heading up the mountain, and an air ambulance was able to fly the boy out.
