A sailboat was blown into the reeds near Saratoga Springs by strong south winds. Life Flight responded and located the boat and people around midnight.

A lake rescue at Saratoga Springs. One incident at Inlet Park and another for two women south of Saratoga Springs. A SAR member responded in his boat and helped the women. Everyone got back to shore and was OK.

The hikers and a SAR member warmed rocks around a fire to stay comfortable overnight

Three hikers started from Big Springs in South Fork and hiked over Cascade Mountain when they got ledged out on the west face. Team members responded on motorcycle and foot and a rescuer reached the hikers around midnight. Two were in good condition and one felt weak due to minor illness. Due to darkness and the steep scree terrain, team members bivouced on the mountain and brought them safely across the cliffs and down the mountain in the morning.

A second group of SAR motorcycles rides toward Lightning Pass

SAR was called to Provo Boat harbor to assist with a swamped boat. Due to several different people reporting the accident, there where conflicting reports of how many boats and people where involved. State Parks towed the boat back to the harbor and everybody was OK.

An experienced climber was setting new routes up AF canyon when he fell. Team members responded to help get him off the cliff and over to where Life Flight could do a hoist. Later we learned he had serious injuries. The hoist included a tag line as they ascended back up to the helicopter.

Following team training, SAR responded to Battle Creek Canyon to help a climber ledged out at the falls. We lowered a team member and did a pick-off and get the man down to the base of the falls.
