A small plane was flying over Sagebrush Flats behind Mahogony Mountain when strong headwinds led to a crash. The plane flipped over, but both passengers were able to walk away with only minor injuries.
Friends in a separate airplane called in the accident and a SAR member’s personal helicopter reached the victims almost immediately. Life Flight also showed up and carried the victims off the mountain.

SAR units responded to Stewart Falls Saturday to assist North Fork (Sundance) Fire in carrying out a hiker with an injured leg.
While lifting the woman from a wheeled Stokes stretcher, used in most trail extrications, to the ambulance gurney, she commented, “I’ve never been surrounded by so many good-looking guys!”

A 51-year-old woman broke her leg while hiking near Stewart Falls. SAR assisted Sundance Fire in carrying her to a waiting ambulance.

SAR members responded to assist other agencies with a female hiker with chest pain at the top of the Timpanogos Cave trail.

SAR responded to Timpanogos Cave for a woman reporting chest pain. She was quickly brought down the trail and attended by an ambulance crew.
