Hundreds of motorists were stranded for hours along SR92 as a blizzard drifted snow and brought I-15 and local traffic to a halt. SAR members responded with snowmobiles to assist Lehi agencies in making sure all motorists were safe and transporting many home or to temporary shelter at LDS chapels.

An urgent call came at 6:40 p.m. to locate a missing woman near the Cedar Hills golf course.

A call came to rescue a snowmobiler near Tucker in Spanish Fork Canyon at 8:34 p.m.

The ELT (emergency locator transmitter) team responded to a call for a downed aircraft. The mountaintop ELT repeater was turned off when it turned out to be a false alarm.

A snowmobile assist mission was paged out at 12:51 a.m. for Lake Forest, near Thistle in Spanish Fork Canyon.

A paraglider suffered a broken femur after crashing on the Utah County side of Point of the Mountain. Rescuers climbed the steep hillside, packaged the injured man for transport, and loaded him into a medical helicopter which landed 50 yards above the accident site.
