Hundreds of motorists were stranded for hours along SR92 as a blizzard drifted snow and brought I-15 and local traffic to a halt. SAR members responded with snowmobiles to assist Lehi agencies in making sure all motorists were safe and transporting many home or to temporary shelter at LDS chapels.

A paraglider suffered a broken femur after crashing on the Utah County side of Point of the Mountain. Rescuers climbed the steep hillside, packaged the injured man for transport, and loaded him into a medical helicopter which landed 50 yards above the accident site.
