A woman was injured by a tree branch while riding a 4 wheeler at Dutchman Flats, up Tibble Fork.

SAR evacuated a 24-year-old male with a broken leg from the Diamond Fork hot pots.
The call came at 10:09 p.m. and some SAR members arrived home at 4:00 a.m.

A woman was trapped above the final drop of Stewart Falls shortly after noon. The fast current made it impossible for her to cross through the water to the north shore where she could exit the river. Hypothermia was another factor increasing the danger of the situation and further complicating the rescue.
SAR and Sundance Fire responded, and Sundance cheif Kenny Johnson was lowered into the river to retrieve her. This exciting rescue made national news headlines and Kenny and the girl were flown to New York City where they were interviewed on Good Morning America.

A tragic accident occured southwest of Utah Lake State Park in Provo when a sailor swam away from his small boat without a life jacket to retrieve a paddle. High winds made it difficult for the boat to return to the swimmer, who drown before he could be retrieved.
SAR and other agencies combed the lake with radar for several days before the man was spotted by helicopter on Tuesday.

The festive summer atmosphere of 4th of July celebrations was threatened when a university student was reported missing after a float trip with neighbors. His tube was located and SAR members combed the river for 7 miles as night set in, questioning walkers on the River Trail.
The mission was finally put off till morning light, and the man turned up safely before additional searching proved necessary.

A page for a missing hiker on Box Elder Peak near Tibble Fork Reservoir came at 5:59 a.m., and another at 9:14 p.m. at the nearby Timpooneke Trail.
